Aren't you glad Mel Gibson is going off the rails?
With hopes of Katie Holmes turning up dismembered in Tom Cruise's refrigerator rapidly dwindling and Britney Spears evening out at 'bloated-dumb-has-been', Mel's showing his ass to the world couldn't have come at a better time.
I'd really like to see this one go the distance. I'm talking a full-on Waco stand off at the Mel Gibson compound--the one we were all denied at Neverland Ranch.
The Game Plan-
Keep the beard Mel. You look like a fucking acid-casuality from the sixties--it's awesome. And don't let anyone tell you you can't have a drink on your birthday. Hell, have one at the Oscars! Show the world how you can still be a real cut-up at parties.
You remember the guy who stole a tank and drove it down the L.A. freeway? He had the right idea, Mel. Think big!
I'm trying to be funny here but it's not really working. Tom Cruise and Britney are fun to watch. Their public flakyness is harmless and largley a result of the years isolation that come with achieving mega-stardom at an early age. Gibson's problems are banal and pathetic. He's shown himself to be nothing but a drunken, violent, Pat Robertson. There's no star quality panache to it at all. He's not a tortured genius like Brando, not a wild-child like Robert Downey Jr., not a Diana Ross type diva, he's just a regular, run of the mill, jerk. He should shut up and go home and we should be spared witnessing anymore of him.

Whats ur dis on Mel. Hes kinda a freak sometimes be he ant all that bad. Give him a break. Being a big time movie star is a huge ordeal. Lots o stress to deal with day in and out.

That's the thing, it has nothing to do with him being a star. His anti-semitism, misogyny and homophobia seems to come from his father who made really outrageous comments when POC came out. My point is that it's no fun to watch like other star train-wrecks.

Actually, I think this whole thing is awesomely entertaining, and funny. Here's this asshole who, like Tom Cruise, has legions of adoring fans who choose to ignore the fact that he's a complete freak in his real life. He makes a film with seriously anti-Semetic overtones, and everyone in the world loves it because it involves both Mel Gibson and Jesus. Niiiiiice. Now all of a sudden, pants are WAAAAY down, and there's absolutely no way to explain it away. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I only wish he had dropped an n-bomb in there too, just to ensure that an even larger segment of the population had a huge reason to despise him like he deserves.
I'd like to think this could make people reconsider their need to idolize these Hollywood idjits...but it won't. But hating ol' Mel is a great start. I'll take it.
Well the media is having a field day with this story, especially the Jewish owned media. Yesterday I said to S.M.E , "enough already" Are they not flogging this story way too much? The guy was a total baboon driving and drinking and giving the police a hassle during his arrest, and that he should be punished severely. But his bad taste comments about Jews? Come on people , give me a break, The guy was pissed and a raving lunatic which explains his raving anti Semitic remarks. But dose anyone take a drunken blithering idiots remarks to heart? If you do then you must have a lot of respect for all drunken blithering idiots who rant. This drunken episode of M.G. does not remove an ounce of his accomplishments in film and humanity and I salute him for his good work. He has a dark side it seems though, what a surprise his shit stinks and he's human too. He's messed his bed, now he has to make it under the heavy hand of the law. His anti Jew comments I'll sweep under the bed and forget it. Now if only the media would get back on track and report the world events instead of flogging this trashy story.

Doug, do you think it was a coincidence that his drunken raving about Jews and not Blacks or...Asians. Lines like "the jews are responsible for all the worlds wars" is not a drunken slip up. Did you know he was currently working on a movie about the holocaust. I think that gives his comments some poignency.
The real repugnant thing is that he's gone around posing as a righteous, man of faith.
Like I said earlier, I do feel a little bad for him. His father is a real nut and unrepentant bigot.
